songs of the redeemed.

Psalm 107

this poem is unfinished but i thought i'd give you a peek into my writing processssssss!

Songs of the redeemed gathered in from the land
from horizon to horizon by His outstretched hands
From south to north and east to west
He offers His easy yoke, His kindly rest.

Droplets flicker to dust where sands billow and thunder
the wanderer slogs wearily, searching for a city of wonder
Grown hungry and thirsty he can’t find the city,
so he cries out to Abba, oh Lord, on me have pity!

He sends life He sends water
to moisten clay as loving Potter.
He leads to the city by a straight way,
where we can rest, where we can stay.

Thank the Lord for His steadfast love
sending the rain from His throne up above!
Praise God for all His wondrous deeds
He fills the longing soul and fills the hungry with good things!

Night brings sleep to the shackles, no comfort to be found,
abound hound mound pound round sound
